About Upland

I created about 340 videos in a variety of genres and styles as Upland Productions, which I founded in 2002 and ran until 2011. I pitched, researched, and planned, conducted interviews, filmed, and edited, and also composed music. 

Filming throughout the US and Europe, I interviewed hundreds of people, including scientists, designers, teachers, entrepreneurs, and students from first-graders to post-docs. Among them were a few celebrities — Tim Berners-Lee, Sandra Day O'Connor, Calvin Klein, and others. My clients spanned healthcare, venture capital, education, consumer electronics, research, hospitality, enterprise software, and other sectors.

Although I started Upland solo, four friends and colleagues were especially significant in various ways to Upland's success.
